The Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon and Half Marathon, operated by Blistering Pace Race Management, is excited to announce professional runner Emma Coburn’s inclusion to race weekend. Emma will be on hand in several capacities, including at the Saturday morning shake out run as well as giving out high fives at the finish line on race day. Additionally, she will take part in our “Grit: The Key to Success” Speaker Series Panel which will also feature Catt Sadler, former E! News host, as well as Elizabeth DeLouise-Gant, Winemaker at Conn Creek Winery.

Emma Coburn is an American middle distance runner specializing in the 3000 meter steeplechase. She won the gold medal at the 2017 World Championships with a time of 9:02.59, becoming the first American woman to win a global gold medal in the event. Emma also snagged a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics as well as a silver medal in the 2019 World Championships. Emma is a seven-time US Champion and was a three-time NCAA champion while at the University of Colorado. Most recently, Emma was announced as a 2020 Power Woman of the Year Honoree by Women’s Running Magazine.

The Napa Valley Marathon, in its 42^nd year, is joined by the 2^nd Annual Napa Valley Half Marathon. Both distances are approaching sell out for the second year in a row. Traditionally held on the first Sunday in March, event weekend includes Namaste and Rose′
